Refund & Returns Policy
Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, plants cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.
Note: You will not be eligible for a refund or replacement on any plant orders if you do not add Winter Shipping Protection to your order if the average daytime temperature in the destination area drops below 50°F. The failure to include this protection may result in plant damage for which Rooted in the Chaos assumes no liability. Orders shipped without this protection that suffer from cold-related damage will not be eligible for refunds or replacements. More on Plant Packing and Shipping Here.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Do Not Ship before Return/Refund has been Approved. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Shipping returns
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
